    geno929,
Better recognition, treatment and prevention, all lead to an improved outcome for many of our patients!

    Ghinion,
I think medical community should promote more prevention than drugs since symptoms are treated not cause. Afib is more frequent in aging population. and Yoga, meditation, good nutrition, exercise(silver snickers),massage was shown to prevent a lot of aging diseases.Increased support for prevention was promised but not delivered. Medicare dos not cover any of the above unless you are covered by some subsidysed private ins.

    teddybear1947,
I have come to the conclusion that melanie truhills, and the american heart association has outdone themselves by creating this site. I can already see results in my mind of people not being so scared, not sleeping because of worry, in other words this site might very well save a life, thank you all, mel , melissa, heather, everybody, you all rock

    Mellanie at StopAfib.org,
teddybear1947, Thank you so much for the kind words. Our mission at StopAfib.org is a "stroke-free world". I believe that awareness, education, and support will go a long way towards accomplishing that. Ghinion, A lot of research is being done to help find ways to prevent afib. I know that some Medicare Advantage programs cover Silver Sneakers, but there is a risk of the Medicare Advantage programs being downgraded. geno929, Thank you for your comments.Mellanie
